Welcome to the Hampshire Area of 4LSCB

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is a shared responsibility and a high priority for Hampshire agencies. It includes protecting children from abuse and neglect and ensuring that they grow up safely, having the best life chances to enter adulthood successfully.

Hampshire Safeguarding Children Board (HSCB) is responsible for co-ordinating and ensuring the effectiveness of local work to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in Hampshire.

The Hampshire Safeguarding Children website brings together information on safeguarding children for, children and young people, their parents and carers and for staff working with children and young people and their families.

The website offers local and national guidance to support you in safeguarding children in Hampshire and information on where and how to get help.

We aim to give you the best support and guidance available, however if you feel there is something missing on our website, please email us at hscb@hants.gov.uk
