Annual Reports

The Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 introduced a requirement for LSCBs to produce and publish an annual report on the effectiveness of safeguarding in the local area. The report should provide robust challenge to the work of the Children’s Trust Board in driving improvements in the safeguarding of children and young people Working Together 2010 3.37-8

Children’s Trust Boards are expected to draw upon the findings and advice in the LSCB annual report, and show how they intend to respond to the issues raised in preparing the Children and Young People’s Plan.

The HSCB has just published its Annual Report on the effectiveness of safeguarding in the local area for 2009 -10. The Annual Report demonstrates that statutory and voluntary agencies are working well together to achieve a sound basis for safeguarding children in Hampshire. The partner agencies of the HSCB and Children’s Trust are using the findings of the report to help them plan service development together.
