Young People who use drugs and/or alcohol
Young people are growing up in a world in which drugs of all kinds (including tobacco, alcohol, medicines and illegal drugs) are increasingly common. Despite this, most young people do not use illegal drugs or develop problematic drug use, a fact that many adults and the media do not acknowledge. However, drugs do cause significant health and social problems for young people, whether they use drugs themselves or have contact with others who use drugs. Young people, who do have problems with drugs need well-informed help and support.
