On the 18th November 2011 Managers within the Children & Young People's workforce attended a Breakfast Briefing and heard presentations from NHS Southampton City and Barnardos, who have a vested interest in raising awareness of Children who are Trafficked and ways in which professionals can work to identify and prevent these risks from developing. This was a really successful event with lots of interaction, some extremely useful guidance given by the presenters and great engagement from all services within Southampton.
The 3LSCB Child Trafficking Protocol was also introduced to Southampton professionals at the event- this protocol can be downloaded and viewed by visiting the 4LSCB Documents section of the website, which contains many other protocols and procedures relating to Safeguarding, as well as a link to the comprehensive 4LSCB Online Procedures.... a one stop shop for everything safeguarding!
