Working Together to Safeguard Children 2010 sets out how Organisations and Individuals shoudld work together to safeguard and promote the welfare of Children and Young People in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and the Children Act 2004.  It is important that all practitioners working to safeguard Children and Young People understand fully their responsibilities and duties as set out in Primary Legislation and associated regulations and guidance. Working Together was most recently updated in 2010. 

The Department for Education was formed on 12 May 2010 and is responsible for education and children's services.

Freedom Of Information

Under the Ministry of Justice extension to the Freedom of Information Act 2000, LSCB's are not deemed as Public Authorities and therefore will be exempt from requests for the discolsure of information under the Act.
